GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 748464
./configure should detect libgirepository
Last modified: 2016-05-15 07:27:25 UTC
When trying to compile geary-0.10, I successfully ran the ./configure script, so I thought all dependencies were satisfied. Then when I ran "make", I got an error message about gobject-introspection. I fixed it by installing libgirepository1.0-dev on my debian 8 system. So it seems to me ./configure should detect the presence of this package.
Created attachment 302533 [details] [review] Add gobject-introspection to required modules I don't know if there's a particular version we need to target. I also don't know if this is required for all components or only some.
Review of attachment 302533 [details] [review]: There's probably a minimum version, but Geary is depending on libraries so old at this point I don't know if it's worth going back and finding the exact version. Plus, gobject-introspection tends to be maintained along side the packages with version numbers we depend on.
