Description illumilore 2015-04-17 22:38:58 UTC
When going to file>properties>advanced, it shows exif data, but it does not edit, and is unremovable.
Comment 1 Michael Schumacher 2015-04-17 22:40:15 UTC
What version of GIMP is this?
Comment 2 illumilore 2015-04-17 23:19:10 UTC
gimp --version
GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.8.14
Comment 3 Jehan 2016-10-20 18:25:31 UTC
Either I mix up, or you are viewing metadata through another software. GIMP does not have metadata viewing in 2.8 AFAIK.

This says, it has metadata support in the current development version, but they are still not editable. Bug 61499 tracks this feature.

Have I misunderstood something or we can close this bug report as a duplicate of bug 61499?
Comment 4 Michael Natterer 2016-10-20 20:32:16 UTC
If this only affects 2.8, let's get rid of it. Metadata in 2.8 is
broken beyond repair and there won't be any changes except strict
bug fixes.

Ok setting as duplicate of bug 61499.
Not sure if that's what you meant by "get rid", but that's still the same topic (even though not the same codebase at all, I think).
