Description Ben 2015-04-17 17:39:04 UTC
As I found out the Nautilus file browser does NOT support the --geometry cmdline parameter wit GTK3. it does with (old) GTK2.

When opening Nautilus it should appear at a certain position with a certain size.

Currently I always have to manually re-size and re-position Nautilus.
This is annoying and unnecessary.

Could you make (at least Nautilus) GUI windows accept the --geometry parameter.

Even better: Nautilus should AUTOMATICALLY remember the last siez and position before exit (and use it at next launch).

Thank you
Ben

Which nautilus version is this about?
Comment 2 Ben 2015-04-19 10:27:42 UTC
Nautilus v2.30.1
Comment 3 André Klapper 2019-09-28 21:25:29 UTC
That version was already unsupported at the time this task was filed. :)

Assuming this is obsolete nowadays; please file a new ticket in https://gitlab.gnome.org if this is still a problem in 3.34 or 3.32. Thanks!
