Description Chow Loong Jin 2015-04-14 09:02:45 UTC
I don't know if this should be a soundtouch bug or not, but its website states that soundtouch only supports analyzing files with sample rates within the 8000-48000Hz range. Anything outside of that probably falls into undefined behaviour.
Comment 1 Chow Loong Jin 2015-04-14 09:03:26 UTC
Banshee should probably do some sanity checks on files to avoid crashing horribly in soundtouch, since this library is littered with assertions where exceptions should be thrown.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2020-03-17 09:52:09 UTC
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
