Description mani shankar bandaru 2015-04-13 09:11:30 UTC
i have been trying my festival voice to integrating in orca . ( my os ubuntu14.3) But i am not able to get festival the option in preference->voices.
please suggest steps to flow the to integrate the festival voice in orca

for more in details i have followed below steps

1. Install ORCA (if not)
sudo apt-get install gnome-orca

2. Install Speech Dispatcher:
sudo apt-get install speech-dispatcher libspeechd2 python-speechd

hear python-speechd is not working because in new version python3-speechd is runing

Try it:

Type 'spd-say test' in terminal or run Orca. If it doesn't work, try running 'spd-conf -d' in the terminal to check problems.

3. sudo apt-get install festival festival-freebsoft-utils

if festival is already installed then install only freebsoft-utils

sudo apt-get install festival-freebsoft-utils
