GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 747703
Smart zoom (snapping)
Last modified: 2021-06-19 08:47:56 UTC
For the sake of sharpness and convenience, zoom level 50% and 100% should be preferred. When zooming (using slider or mouse wheel), the application should automatically snap to those values. Current behavior example: using mouse wheel to zoom in from 40%, next values are: 42, 44, 47, 49, 51, ..., 97, 102, ... Desired behavior: when zooming and being close to 100 or 50, jump automatically to it. Example from above should look like this: 42, 44, 47, 50, ..., 97, 100, ... When using slider, everything above 95% and bellow 105%, should jump (snap) to 100%, same when approaching to 50%.
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/eog/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
