Description Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-03-14 22:23:25 UTC
When I type this into the location bar in Nautilus,

ftp://bordoley:password@scully.egr.msu.edu

it sends me to the /home/bordoley/ folder of scully.egr.msu.edu. (fixed
from bug 42126)

However it wont let me use the up arrow to move up the directory hierarchy
to the / directory.
Comment 1 John Fleck 2002-04-08 03:02:23 UTC
With GNOME2 nautilus, I can login as Dave describes, but cannot
navigate the file system once connected. I get a "can't find
public_html" error, for example.

What GNOME2 behavior are you seeing?
Comment 2 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-04-08 03:37:05 UTC
well I can login to most ftp sites, but basically if i try to navigate
it's unusable and basically won't even load any folders at all. but
thats a different bug really. but sort of related i guess. basically
my gripe with the current behavior is that the up arrow, won't let me
go up the directory hierarchy of my schools ftp site to the "/"
directory even though i can do this in gftp and most other ftp programs
Comment 3 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-04-08 03:39:09 UTC
just to add, i can use ftp in nautilus 1.0.6 somewhat usefully. Ftp in
nautilus 1.1.x is basically useless. this may be a vfs bug though i guess.
Comment 4 John Fleck 2002-09-07 13:01:06 UTC
This is still a bug (version 2.0.4).
Comment 5 Sebastien Bacher 2003-11-23 21:07:47 UTC
This bug is fixed in nautilus 2.4.
