I installed KDE in Fedora 22 rawhide. When logout and login, gdm could not select to Plasma Desktop, items can not clicked. Even though GNOME wayland item and GNOME Classical.

[tonghuix@test ~]$ gdm --version
GDM 3.15.92

This bug still occurs in GDM 3.26.2.1. This bug was found on Ubuntu 18.04 developer branch. More information can be found here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1734201

If this indeed is the bug that is mentioned in the link to launchpad, then the workaround is to reboot.
