GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 74624
Gtk+ Theme Selector - Preview button is missing
Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
The 'Preview' button is missing from the Gtk+ Theme Selector capplet. In addition to this the checkbox for automatic preview is missing. This prevents users from previewing any selected themes. Tested in beta2 (14/03/02).
The gtk+ theme selector, like the other capplets, is auto-apply, which means an explicit "preview" button is redundant and makes no sense.
Is it actually auto-applying ATM?
No the theme selector is not auto applying changes - see bugid 73585. Question: Is the preview scree in the theme selector capplet now redundant? If the capplet is (instant) auto-apply then there is no need for a preview screen - or is there? I suppose it does allow a user to preview the theme without having to open any apps to see the effects of the theme. In any case the preview scree does not auto preview so atm does nothing.
Once bug 73585 is fixed this will be irrelevant. Closing as a dup, though that's not /strictly/ accurate. Close enough. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 73585 ***
