Can you try "folks-inspect" on the command line of your terminal application, and see if presents the same behavior?

I get that output

[e-diablo@homless ~]$ folks-inspect

As I expected, the problem here is with your setup. There's something wrong there, I don't know what. Anyway Contacts should handle the situation better.

Ertan, what’s the output of this command?
$ gsettings get org.freedesktop.folks primary-store

It looks like you’ve got some stale configuration which is telling libfolks to use a non-existent EDS address book as its primary persona store.
