Description Wayne 2015-02-02 15:32:24 UTC
I think it has been since the last few versions of gimp that i seem to get delay or lagging within the software when using my Bamboo pen.

It used to work fine within the software and woks fantastic in all other software i used, just not gimp for some reason?

As i go to stroke the pen across the paper ( digital ) it creates a delay, sometimes drawing on image or not at all!
I have tried many different steps that have been suggested on many websites and even on youtube without any luck!
I have even recently changed my computer, using windows 7 rather than Vista and still the same issue.
I have 4G of ram too so though that may help.
I've also checked my driver updates to make sure they are all in order, which they are and have even gone to lengths of trying to open Gimp in different ways, i.e opening it with the pen, using my mouse to open gimp e.t.c and still the same issue!

Should you have any questions so that i can help further in any way, please feel free to contact me!

Many thanks!

Same as bug 736411, maybe?
Comment 2 Wayne 2015-02-03 03:59:32 UTC
Yes it is although i have also tried many of those suggestions too, i.e reducing paper size to a much smaller one and turning dynamics off.

Thank you for getting back to me!

@Wayne, please try disabling your ruler or plugging in your tablet after Gimp has started as a workaround.

Have just tried disabling the ruler and it helped some although still some lag although not as bad!

When plugging in the tablet after starting Gimp, the software didn't recognise the tablet so no pen pressure and there was still lag!

Thank you for replying!
