Raw images (in .CR2 format) are viewed in b/w mode in preview mode though their thumbnails are colored in overview mode.

This was a bug in GEGL's RAW loader. It has been fixed as a side-effect of replacing the libopenraw-based loader with a LibRaw-based one.
