Shotwell does not use colour profiles embedded into images. As a photo library management application, it should, IMHO.

As a quick test, the pictures linked from Figure 1a at http://www.clarkvision.com/articles/calibrating.your.monitor/ should all look the same: they do in firefox, gimp and rawtherapee, but fail that in shotwell.

Shotwell 0.20.2 from ppa; OS All?
