GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 742868
Problems with setting Indian Currency Symbol to its Unicode character ₹
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:37:50 UTC
Indian Currency Symbol in Unicode ('₹') is displayed as question mark by default irrespective of locale settings (Bug # 723145). As per guidelines here: http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Locale_Settings#Adjusting_Currency_Symbols If I try to set the currency symbol for Indian Rupee (Symbol: INR; ISIN/CUSIP: 356) to just '₹' (without quotes), it turns to a question mark (?). But if I set it to '₹.', that is along with another character before or after it, then the currency symbol stays. We should be able to set the currency symbol to just ₹ (As far as I know, Indian rupee is the only currency which has incorrect symbol set to it by default in the securities dialogue box, but that is probably a separate issue or may be it is related. I have no idea)
First bug id in the previous description should be bug # 742002 rather than 723145 (Sorry)
