Description André Klapper 2015-01-11 22:31:27 UTC
Once the guided bug entry form is configured (bug 742340), evaluate whether we want to make the guided bug entry form the default link in the header and footer bar when clicking "New" for "default" GNOME Bugzilla users who are not (yet) member of the "editbugs" group.

This is how KDE, Gentoo and Mageia have configured their Bugzilla instances (at least when I checkedthem in 06/2014), but I have not yet investigated which exact work is needed for that.

From the Browse extension:

 [% IF user.id && user.in_group('editbugs') %]
   <li>
     <a href="enter_bug.cgi?product=
              [%- product.name FILTER uri %]">File a
       [%= terms.bug %] in this product</a>
     <!-- (<a href="enter_bug.cgi?format=guided&amp;product=[% product.name FILTER uri %]">simple form</a>) -->
   </li>
 [% ELSE %]
   <li>
     <!--
     <a href="enter_bug.cgi?format=guided&amp;product=
              [%- product.name FILTER uri %]">File a
       [%= terms.bug %] in this product</a> -->
     <a href="enter_bug.cgi?product=
              [%- product.name FILTER uri %]">File a
       [%= terms.bug %] in this product</a>
   </li>
 [% END %]

After https://wiki.gnome.org/Initiatives/DevelopmentInfrastructure , GNOME is moving its task tracking from Bugzilla to GitLab at https://gitlab.gnome.org/ as previously announced in https://mail.gnome.org/archives/desktop-devel-list/2018-May/msg00026.html . See https://wiki.gnome.org/GitLab for more information.

Hence closing this ticket as WONTFIX: There are no plans to work on Bugzilla.
