Description Gilles Dartiguelongue 2015-01-11 12:07:28 UTC
Hello,

as reported downstream at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=535702

GNUTLS_MIN_REQUIRED=2.12.8

needs to be raised to at least 3.0, since glib-networking now uses gnutls_priority_protocol_list function.
Comment 1 Dan Winship 2015-01-11 15:00:03 UTC
oops, that wasn't intentional actually.

But it sounds like requiring 3.0 isn't actually a problem for gentoo though? I think probably it's about time to finally drop 2.x support...
Comment 2 Mart Raudsepp 2015-01-12 01:25:15 UTC
No, it isn't a problem for us, but upstream code should spell out the dependency to help other distributions and from source builders and be correct, or you'll need to make that optional if you want to keep supporting other places where gnutls might not be so new.
Being bleeding edge at things does give us gnutls-3.3, but only a few architectures have it in the "stable tree" as of yet (rest at 2.12.23, but testing and stabilization for others is ongoing already).
So no problem for us now that we know to increase the minimal depedency in the package, but please handle as appropriate upstream :)
