Description Marcus Lundblad 2015-01-08 20:41:35 UTC
Bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=726628 in gnome-maps is about being able to edit data in OpenStreetMap from within gnome-maps.
Handling credentials for OSM editing using g-o-a might be a good idea, then gnome-maps could check the presence of a set-up OSM account, and in that case offer the editing capabilities.

Sure, we can do that. I see [1] that OpenStreetMap uses OAuth1 or HTTP basic auth so it should be quite easy to add a provider.

Now that the OpenStreetMap account is handled entirely inside gnome-maps can we close this as WONTFIX?

Yeah, I think this could be closed now.
I guess we could always revisit it in case we change our minds later.

Close as this is currently handled locally by Maps.
