Inital patch

When operating in a slow network environment, a messages delivery status update may arrive when further messages have been sent. When this happens, the user is not able to assign the feedback to the sent message.

me: Message1 <= this fails
me: Message2
"Error: Message delivery failed"

Also, when delivery receipts are supported by the protocol, the spinner implies a similar problem.

Solution as suggested [1]: Whatsapp-like check marks like ✓ and ✗ next to the delivered / failed message. The proposed patch simply attaches the marks to the message text, which is not that nice but it works for me as a starting point.
