Description Christoph Rackwitz 2015-01-07 21:51:18 UTC
Since ksvideosrc seems unmaintained and throws 'write map requested on non-writable buffer' errors, I went looking for dshow support. I found dshowvideosrc, which appears to have been abandoned in 2008.

I'd like to read from a webcam with gstreamer on windows. That could be done with DShow or MSMF (newest API). Kernel Streaming (ksvideosrc) is deprecated now.

Since bug #732283, dshowvideosrc should be working again. Nonetheless someone should implement MediaFoundation elements (not only video sources, but also other things :) ).
