Description Kurt Roeckx 2014-12-29 11:48:49 UTC
I think it would be useful to have things like the VAT number of the companies in gnucash, both for customers and vendors. It might also be useful to have my customers bank account number (IBAN+BIC) in it.

One of the reasons I would like to have the VAT number in it is that I need to declare a list of customers with revenue and received tax, and that also needs to include the VAT number.

I'm currently using the "customer number"/"owner id" for that.

I fully agree.

Currently you could use the comment lines, to store the information, but the VAT-ID needs to be displayed on the Invoice to be accepted by the tax office, see Bug 430259 - Tax-id for customers.

IBAN and BIC are also standardized items.

May it shoukd be useful to rename this field for the UStID which is now needed. The description is already update.
