GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 742034
Crash after dragging image URL to photo box in contact editor
Last modified: 2015-01-07 15:12:28 UTC
This bug is present in both 3.4 and 3.12 releases of evolution packaged in Debian (Wheezy and Jessie) when using a carddav contact source (tested against radicale 0.9). Other non-photo contact edits have no difficulty. However, dragging a JPEG image URL into the contact editor box will invariably result in an Evolution crash, sometimes instantly, sometimes several seconds later. The update sometimes works (this is when the crash occurs several seconds later). *** glibc detected *** evolution: double free or corruption (!prev): 0xb9bb5170 *** ======= Backtrace: ========= /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(+0x70c91)[0xb6abbc91] /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(+0x724f8)[0xb6abd4f8] /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(cfree+0x6d)[0xb6ac063d] /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libglib-2.0.so.0(+0x4f77b)[0xb6bff77b]
Thanks for a bug report. I can confirm the crash.
