Description Christopher M. Penalver 2014-12-16 10:48:59 UTC
Downstream report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/159032

1) lsb_release -rd
Description:	Ubuntu Vivid Vervet (development branch)
Release:	15.04

2) apt-cache policy evince
evince:
  Installed: 3.14.1-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.14.1-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.14.1-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What is expected to happen is when one opens the following PDF created using pdftex/pdflatex, the form may be edited, just like in Adobe Reader:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/159032/+attachment/167511/+files/simpleform.pdf

4) What happens instead is it is not editable.

This is not a proper PDF form, it's just a dangling PDF Widget and unfortunately we don't support that at the moment. Probably this is a dup, but don't have time to check right now.
