Description Matthias Clasen 2014-11-15 18:36:09 UTC
When I click on the 'review installed updates' notification, gnome-software opens on the updates page, saying 'Everything is up-to-date', and it stays there for long enough that I'm about to dismiss it when the dialog with the update details finally appears.

This delay without feedback is far too long. I would suggest to open the dialog right away, and show a spinner in it if getting the details takes too long. But really, how long can it take to parse a small text file ?

I added the spinner in https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=3fe41213058ed8fc9d632edb63ba79cc88fb2577 so it should now be clear that it's doing something.

Not sure why it's taking so long though...
