screenshot of the console errors on irccloud.com

When trying to use IRCcloud.com, Epiphany (as a standalone web app or within Epiphany) gets stuck at "Loading" after login. I could not experience that with previous versions, only since 3.14.

Example of what I get in the console:

(sorry for the screenshot, but it's actually not possible to select text directly in the console!)

I have tried to debug this with IRCcloud support, but without success.

You can access https://www.irccloud.com/test/ignore to test yourself.

Thanks for taking the time to report this. This is most likely an issue with WebKit. Please report the bug to https://bugs.webkit.org/ including a link to this bug report and noting the WebKit version/revision number. When reporting the WebKit bug, be sure to select the JavaScriptCore component.
Comment 3 Hugo Roy 2015-05-03 13:44:15 UTC
FYI it works with other webkit based browsers I have tried: Chromium and midori on the same GNOME environment, or Safari on Mac OS.
Comment 4 Michael Catanzaro 2015-05-03 16:26:11 UTC
Chromium doesn't use WebKit anymore, Midori probably uses an obsolete version of WebKitGTK+, and Safari branches at different points than we do. The most likely possibilities here are (a) a real bug IRCcloud, or (b) a WebKit bug that's going into the NEXT version of Safari if it's not fixed before then, or (c) a WebKit bug that's specific to WebKitGTK+ and will never affect Safari. I think (b) is most likely here, but who knows. Anyway, on bugs.webkit.org there is a small chance someone will debug it and figure out the problem, so up to you whether that's worth taking the time to move the bug.

Thanks again for reporting, though!
Comment 5 Michael Catanzaro 2015-05-03 19:59:24 UTC
Also, Chromium never used JavaScriptCore, but V8.
Comment 6 Hugo Roy 2015-05-04 19:44:38 UTC
OK, thanks for the information, all this context is more useful for me to post the bug at the right place.
Comment 7 Hugo Roy 2015-05-06 08:38:41 UTC
FYI the bug stands with Epiphany 3.16

Which version of webkit should I report?
Comment 8 Michael Catanzaro 2015-05-06 13:37:26 UTC
Oops, I should have mentioned how to handle that. When you fill out the bug, just pick whatever the latest version in the list is; those have no meaning and get ignored. But in the text of your report, please mention the WebKitGTK+ version that you see in Epiphany's About dialog.
