GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 739325
highlighted find entry does not correspond to current page
Last modified: 2014-11-19 09:08:53 UTC
1. open a PDF 2. open the find functionality (<ctrl>-f). 3. type a common word like "the". 4. click on one of the matches on the left. 5. move to another page with "the" on it. 6. click the "find next" button (or <ctrl-g>). EXPECTED: one of the "the"s on the current page is highlighted. ACTUAL: the next the on the original page is highlighted. COMMENTARY: The problem is that I often use the find so that all the occurrences of a word are highlighted. I find a particular occurrence and then scroll while looking at the context. There is no quick and easy way to know which match I am currently looking at.

I don't this this is a duplicate since it occurs when I'm in continuous mode.
Then it might be a duplicated of the previous that was fixed for 3.12 or 3.14. Feel free to change the status if you can reproduce the issue with a newer version of Evince.
Possibly related to https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=710778 Anyhow, bugs on this issues have been fixed since 3.10.
