GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 739016
Stop automatically loading images for a specific sender
Last modified: 2019-03-17 04:08:53 UTC
Just now I accidentally pressed "Always Show Images From This Sender" when I meant to press "Show Images". There's no way to undo this in Geary. I believe our original intent was to allow this setting to be updated in a contacts manager, but since that feature is far off, I propose we at least allow for this operation to be reversed by the user. My suggestion is to place in the message menu and the context menu a "Don't Show Images From This Sender" option. That might also argue for putting "Always Show Images" and "Show Images" in those menus as well, but I'm less concerned about that given how prominent those buttons are displayed.
I have the opposite issue - I have messages where images are not displayed but I'd like to display images for that sender. The context menu solution would be superb!
Hi Peter, (In reply to Peter Buck from comment #1) > I have the opposite issue - I have messages where images are not displayed > but I'd like to display images for that sender. The context menu solution > would be superb! This may well be a bug - I don't think Geary saves any prefs when you don't elect to show them. Can you please open a new bug here and attach the source of an example message if possible?
