Description erusan 2014-10-17 21:18:02 UTC
Since upgrade to 3.1, rhythmbox uses a lot of processor and takes a lot of time (sometimes ~30 seconds) to load my library after the application launches. Searches also take a while and freeze the interface while processing.

Simply clearing a search takes ~20 seconds for rhythmbox to respond and show the full library.

What version were you using before, and did you just upgrade rhythmbox, or the entire desktop at the same time?
Comment 2 erusan 2014-10-18 18:55:59 UTC
I upgraded from 3.0.3-1 in Debian testing, which was lightning fast. The upgraded to rhythmbox 3.1 was part of a dist-upgrade of the entire GNOME stack.

This problem occurs whether there is an upgrade or a fresh install of the OS.

Commit c8cda37 in at-spi2-atk fixes this.
