GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 738330
error adding yahoo account
Last modified: 2014-10-11 13:35:12 UTC
When trying to add a yahoo account, I get an empty window. When clicking the close button, the following message appears in a popup: Expected status 200 for getting a Request Token, instead got status 401 (Forbidden)
The Yahoo! provider is not meant for general consumption. Even if it worked, there are no applications that are using Yahoo! accounts from GOA. It is not enabled by default, so it looks like either you or your distribution explicitly enabled it.
I sure didn't. I am running Debian Sid, and it comes with the Yahoo provider enabled.
I see. Maybe you can file a bug against the Debian package asking them to turn it off. Even if you could add an account, it won't do anything because there are no applications using it.
