GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 738140
Incoming SIP calls do not show the contact name
Last modified: 2018-05-22 16:34:21 UTC
As reported on the docs-feedback mailing list: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/docs-feedback/2014-September/msg00043.html When a SIP call is received, a SIP identifier is shown (something like 123456@sipprovider.com or 01234123456@sipprovider.com) instead of the contact name, even if the phone number (or the complete SIP identifier) is listed in the contact in the phone number field. It would be nicer if the contact name was shown, possibly with the number as well (or the type of number, such as home, work and so on). I tested with Empathy 3.12.4.
