Description Laura Arjona Reina 2014-10-05 19:31:59 UTC
When I turn on the wi-fi via GNOME-shell, I see "Enceder" instead of "Encender".

I have confirmed this bug in the po files at least in these versions:

https://l10n.gnome.org/POT/gnome-shell.master/gnome-shell.master.es.po

#: ../js/ui/status/network.js:1281
msgid "Turn On"
msgstr "Enceder"

https://l10n.gnome.org/POT/gnome-shell.gnome-3-12/gnome-shell.gnome-3-12.es.po

#: ../js/ui/status/network.js:1234
msgid "Turn On"
msgstr "Enceder"

The strange thing is that I'm using GNOME 3.8.4 in Debian testing, but I could not find the string (not "Enceder", not "Encender" neither) in the 3.8 branch

in 3.8 branch I saw a different typo:

https://l10n.gnome.org/POT/gnome-shell.gnome-3-8/gnome-shell.gnome-3-8.es.po

#: ../js/ui/status/bluetooth.js:208 ../js/ui/status/network.js:460
msgid "disconnecting..."
msgstr "deconectando…"

(should be "desconectando...")

Regards

Hi Laura,

Mny thanks for your bug report. I've fixed the typos in both master, 3,12 and 3,8 branches.

About the missing string in 3.8, it might be a new string added after 3,8 release, so it won't be in 3.8, but in 3.10.

Just a question... why are you using 3.8 in Debian testing? At least 3.12 is already available in the repositories, and there are some 3.14 packages available ;-)

Again, thanks for your bug report!

Thanks for fixing.

I was not sure about my version of GNOME, I just did a dpkg -l | grep gnome-core and found out:

ii gnome-core 1:3.8+8 amd64 GNOME Desktop Environment -- essential components

But now I have had dpkg -l | grep gnome and I see packages with version 8.8, others with 3.12 and others with 3.14.

The Debian wiki says GNOME is being upgraded to 3.12; I suppose eventually all my packages will be upgraded to 3.12 (or maybe to 3.14, who knows!).
Thanks again
