support CSS linear-gradient instead of own properties

Gtk implemets the CSS standard linear-gradients using the background-image property[1]. It would be desirable to keep the notation he same as we could reuse some functions and mixins between the shell and gtk. [1] http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css-images-3/#linear-gradients
