Description Valdis 2014-09-23 12:53:38 UTC
Was tested with GnuCash development version: git rev 4b503d3+ on 2014-09-23 (on Lubuntu 14.04.)

1. Remove ~/.gnucash folder if exists.
2. Start GnuCash, go File— New file— Forward...—Apply
Enter file name (either XML or sqlite3) and Save As.
3. Note that account window is empty.
4. Check file in other browser and note that file structure has actually created.

Problem is that all accounts are empty and View—Filter by...—Other "Show unused accounts" and "Show zero total accounts" are not selected by default.

Therefore I think by default they should be checked.

Thank you for reporting this issue and congrats with your
spot on analysis.

The "Show Unused Accounts" is a newly introduced option in git-master
and it was indeed not enabled by default.

Should be fixed now.
