Description Michael Catanzaro 2014-09-11 13:22:58 UTC
Typing the name of one of my notes in the shell overview creates a gnote process that never goes away. This isn't a huge deal as it only takes 6 MiB of memory, but search providers are supposed to go away after a little while (usually 10s or 60s) and GNOME 3 apps are not supposed to keep running without a window displayed.

Your search provider eluded my 30 second effort to find it in the git repo, so I'm not sure if this hasn't already been fixed since 3.10.

Yes, so far it was like that by design. But I think it's time to fix it.
Comment 2 Aurimas Černius 2014-09-14 14:54:35 UTC
Fixed in development version, will come out as part of 3.14 release.
Thank you for your bug report.
