Currently with latexila it is not possible to change the latexila-specific icons. But it's possible with GTK+ to install those icons in a theme. The advantage is that several themes can be installed, so it would be possible to use different icons, like the ones available at (made for LibreOffice):

Finally it was more convenient to ship the icons in a GResource (so inside the latexila binary).
