Description Bastien Nocera 2014-08-28 16:43:22 UTC
For the CBZ file types (and possibly CBR), we should be able to read metadata from the comments field (ComicBookInfo format).

See the metadata definition:
http://code.google.com/p/comicbookinfo/
and:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Tu9eoPWc_8SPgxx5J4-6mEaaRWLLv-bEA8i_jcIe3IE/preview#heading=h.6e8b6301c096

This application can also add/read the metadata:
http://code.google.com/p/comictagger/

Note that the latter also supports the (undocumented?) ComicRack format.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/tracker/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
