GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 735403
Pathbar flickers between showing and hiding scroll buttons
Last modified: 2016-06-10 14:50:28 UTC
Created attachment 284444 [details] screencast (bugs illustrated, volume 2, issue 11) If I have a long-ish path displayed in the Nautilus pathbar, and if the window is *just* wide enough to display all path buttons, then every time the path bar is refreshed, it flickers between showing the [<] [>] scroll buttons and hiding them. Bad at explaining. See attached screencast. gtk3 3.13.7-65-g96dae4b nautilus 3.13.2-19-ga5726d5
In addition to switching from backdrop, as shown in the screencast, I can also reproduce it by scrolling hover the pathbar. This is probably related to bug 704584. However, bug 704584 and its duplicates apparently happen only with Ubuntu's Ambiance/Radiance themes, and the pathbar flickered on hover.
Created attachment 301071 [details] screencast #2 Noticed a few more styling problems with the latest versions. - Sometimes the first button is missing the left border. ───┬───┬ foo│bar│ ───┴───┴ - Sometimes the left scroll button is missing the left border _and_ has a double right border. ─┐╭───┬───┬ <││foo│bar│ ─┘╰───┴───┴ - Sometimes the last button has square corners. Sometimes it has _round_ corners even though there's a scroll button next to it. ┬───┬───╮─┐ │foo│bar│>│ ┴───┴───╯─┘ - Sometimes the "<" ">" arrows shrink on hover. Sometimes they show up small, then expand to regular size on hover. gtk 3.17.0.r103.gcfb5f16-1 (current git master) nautilus 3.16.0
