GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 735023
Some command line options have the same description in the help output
Last modified: 2014-08-18 23:36:29 UTC
The same description, "Show application details", is used for the --details option and the --local-filename option in the help output. It would be better in respect of understandability that they have a different description even if they had the similar function. How to reproduce ------------------ % gnome-software --help Usage: org.gnome.Software [OPTION...] Help Options: -h, --help Show help options Application Options: --gapplication-service Enter GApplication service mode --mode=MODE Start up mode: either ‘updates’, ‘updated’, ‘installed’ or ‘overview’ --search=SEARCH Search for applications --details=ID Show application details --local-filename=ID Show application details --verbose=ID Set the specified debugging level --profile Show profiling information for the service --prefer-local Prefer local file sources to AppStream --version
Fixed in https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=e85e5cde3225bfd6a78c99c0060958b6e0dc0346 , thanks!
