I'm on Elementary OS Luna with 0.4.2-backport.

There seems to be no option to change the frequency in which mail accounts are checked. I'm not even sure how often Geary checks the mail. An option should be added to allow the user to change the account check / download frequency.

I feel this is similar enough to bug #734794 that we'll deal with the issues in that ticket.
