GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 734785
Landing page - initial load looks poor
Last modified: 2014-09-04 10:12:56 UTC
When I launch software, it takes a second or two for the landing page to be populated. During that time, the tiles for the recommended application sections change height in a jerky fashion. It's a bit jarring and not very smooth. It would be better to keep the tiles a fixed size while loading the icons and data.
Kinda mitigated by my PackageKit work to ship some cached metadata on the LiveCD, but agreed.
I've pushed https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=276c6d3a2e5c920cd258b4261778c6da9bbf565d https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=b2399ec56eac57fa452d69cbc3ab2cf54c0cb098 https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=1d82963b3081d6db0775c01ffe695fe1d6c6f14b ... which should fix the resizing issues at startup.
Thanks Kalev!
