Description bugs 2014-08-09 18:14:16 UTC
Cursor is initially present but disappears when I start typing in main message field. Switching windows will bring it it back, but it will disappear again when typing is resumed. Using the mouse to move the cursor causes multiple cursors to be displayed. Please see attached screenshot.

I am using version 3.12.4. The same behaviour is not displayed when compiling the latest code checked into your git repository (3.13.x series).

Screencast showing disappearing cursor issue

Can confirm this behaviour with 3.12.6.

In addition I see that while compiling email messages more that three lines the cursor disappears completely. Switching windows brings back a ghost cursor that shows the last position of the cursor which disappears again if I start typing. Actually the cursor can be clearly seen to disappear partially from the fourth line (only top half of cursor visible) before it disappears completely from fifth line onwards. If you would like a separate bag for this latter issue please let me know.

Best illustrated by a screencast, I suppose, which is attached herewith.

This [#c2] makes composing emails in evolution a very painful experience (unless you hit Ctrl+Shift+E). Could someone please take a look at this and at least suggest if there is some workaround or some fixes in master that might have addressed this issue already?

Thank you very much.

This bug is occuring on on Debian testing for now (3.12.6-1 Evolution package), it makes mail composing very hard.
