Getting a mail with a .pdf attachment. I see the attachment just fine on my phone, but for some reason Geary doesn't spot it.

Running Manjaro with xfce, the lack of Gnome may have something to do with this.

Can you send me the PDF?  That would help: geary@yorba.org

Also, can you use View Source in Geary on the message and send that as well?  It's in the drop-down menu on the message itself, i.e. the down arrow.

If you View Source and see the PDF stored in the message as an application/octet-stream, then this is a duplicate of bug #713830.

Sorry for the late reply. After examining the source, I notice that this is indeed a duplicate of that bug, and my PDF is there incorrectly viewed as an application.
