Description Jim Nelson 2014-07-09 00:11:11 UTC
When a recurring event is clicked, the instance information is displayed. California should also display a summary (of some kind) indicating that the event is recurring and how it recurs (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
Comment 1 Jim Nelson 2014-07-22 22:26:06 UTC
Google Calendar does this nicely by summarizing the recurrence parameters in plain text, i.e. "Every third Monday monthly", "Daily", and forth. This could be displayed in the event information pane as well as the recurring event editor (dynamically updated as the user clicks controls so they can easily see what they're configuring).

This, or something like it, seems pretty necessary. I couldn't figure out what "Day of the week" meant until I read the California mailing list thread where someone else asked that and got an explanation.
