Description pavacic.p 2014-06-29 16:44:23 UTC
Idk what else I can say except that my music isn't in default Music folder on Ubuntu 14.04.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.
Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!

Whole app is broken now

This is all I could get. Now I can't right click in the app nor add songs to the Playlist.

Debug on the english

Sorry for spamming, but I think that its easier for you to work when everything is on English.
Comment 5 Jonathan Matthew 2014-07-01 21:28:55 UTC
That isn't a stack trace.
Comment 6 pavacic.p 2014-07-03 18:15:53 UTC
I recreated my problem on the other user account on the same laptop, and I don't know how to debug since it didn't crashed.
This are steps to reproduce (this is exatcly what I did):
1. Remove folder Music from the /home/[username]
2. Import music from the folder in which is your music that isn't in the /home/[username]/Music

(in my case it was folder under sync of 'cloud' service called Copy but I really don't know if it matters since that folder wasn't currently syncing with the Copy server. Path was /home/[username]/Copy/Music)

3. Right click and playlists should become useless ( right clicking doesn't reveal menu and you can't add songs to the playlists) also after you close app you have to again add new songs
Comment 7 pavacic.p 2014-07-03 18:29:44 UTC
Ok, I've found solution. You just have to create shortcut to the folder from which you have imported music to the rhythmbox in the users home folder /home/[username]. E.g I wanna import music from the */Copy/Music folder and to do so just delete Music folder from the home folder and create shortcut to the Copy/Music called Music.

Here is example:

uh, okay. I don't think I understand the problem you're having, and I focused on the 'app crashes' part of your bug summary, but now you say it doesn't crash.
Comment 9 pavacic.p 2014-07-04 09:19:26 UTC
It crashed on my account. I couldn't fully recreate problem. I still think that problem where you can't add music from any other except music folder is big problem.
Comment 10 Jonathan Matthew 2014-07-04 09:45:17 UTC
So it did crash? That means you can provide a stack trace, which I can use to fix the crash.

I am unable to reproduce the other problem you're talking about. Perhaps you're having trouble working with the import dialog? Once it has scanned the location, click the 'import n selected tracks' button to add them to the library permanently.
Comment 11 pavacic.p 2014-07-04 10:49:59 UTC
:D then it not a big bug. I didn't click on theimport and tryed to create playlists that appeared for the few seconds and I kept creating new ones. That probably isn't worth your time.

Is this kind of reporting enough?
I've got that bug again

I can add 5 songs to the playlist before it crashes.
