Gthumb wants to import also MagicLantern crop marks

Hi,

I installed MagicLantern (http://magiclantern.fm/) on a memory card for a Canon camera, and when gthumb imports from that memory card (mass storage device import, not PTP import then) it wants to import not only the pictures I made with the camera but also some files of the MagicLantern installation, see the attached screenshot.

This is inconvenient because I usually import all the files at once, and I always have "Delete imported files" checked, so right now I have to manually select the files I want to import in order to not delete these MagicLantern files (they are in ML/cropmks BTW).

I tested other apps too, Shotwell ignores these files, and "gphoto2 --get-all-files" ignores them too, but I haven't compared the source code to see how they decide what to import and what not.

Any comments about how gthumb can skip these "non photo" files?

Thanks,
   Antonio

Ah, sorry, the test with "gphoto2" was via PTP of course, and gthumb also works OK via PTP.

But the comparison with Shotwell stands: Shotwell ignores those "extra" files when importing from a mass storage device, while gthumb wants to import them, I think it shouldn't.

Thanks,
   Antonio

The current git master version adds an optional filter for JPEG-only files to the importer, which will probably fix your problem (since the cropmark files are *.bmp).
