Why was this reported in GNOME Bugzilla?

Which settings have you changed in GNOME that make Nautilus display or render the desktop?

This needs steps to reproduce.
Comment 2 Yan Pashkovsky 2014-05-27 07:39:42 UTC
I've feported it here because launcpad links to gnome bugtracker. There is no steps to reproduce because this happens even in liveUSB Ubuntu (I've just checked). Just check keep alligned option and move the icons. Your icons will have wrong order
Comment 3 Yan Pashkovsky 2014-05-27 07:40:58 UTC
You mean that Nautilus doesn't support Desktop ?
Comment 4 António Fernandes 2014-05-27 22:36:44 UTC
Looking at the screenshot, the icons are aligned, but only horizontally aligned. They are aligned into columns, but not into lines.
