itunes popover submenu transition

For the sake of "every detail matters" the opening of a sub menu inside a popover menu animation should be added. 

A prominent example is the main popover menu in Videos. After clicking a sub menu inside the popover there is no transition - I am specifically talking about the transition from a longer popover menu to a shorter one, not from left to right but from top to bottom. 

When it goes to a shorter one for example, it just cuts it off.

I uploaded a gif animation of an example of how this is solved in mac os x, specifically iTunes.
