GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 730265
Aggregate menu: Icon size starts large, then shrinks
Last modified: 2021-02-23 12:32:15 UTC
When opening the aggregate menu for the first time the speaker icon shows bigger than expected, then shortly shrinks to normal size. Unconfirmed wether it affects other icons.
I have recorded a video to show the problem. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56336/GNOME/aggregate-menu-bug.mov

More than 3 years later and this bug is still not fixed... It happens on 3.26 beta 2.
(In reply to Strangiato from comment #3) > More than 3 years later and this bug is still not fixed... This really makes us want to fix it *eyeroll* > It happens on 3.26 beta 2. This is all that was needed, really. Does this still happen on a Wayland? An updated recording of the bug would also be helpful as the one in comment 2 is gone.
screencast does not capture this bug and I have no camera available to record a video.

(In reply to Daniel van Vugt from comment #12) > Bug fixed by the new menu design in 3.35/3.36. I can't confirm. Still happening on Arch Linux after upgrade to Gnome 3.36. It's less noticeable at least.
Yes, the bug is still there :(
This bug is fixed on my Arch Linux since Gnome Shell 3.38.1.
