Plain-ordinary PDF that will not print.

This file will not print on an HP LaserJet; I have tried both CUPS and direct.

It prints "just fine" using the Adobe product.

I have several others that also will not print - this is one of the shorter ones.

Does this still happen with Evince 3.12? Evince 3.4 is not supported anymore.
Comment 2 Gary Helbig 2014-05-18 14:50:57 UTC
Evince 3.4 is that newest available through the Ubuntu Software Center (LTS).

Evince 3.10 is the newest I can find packaged for Ubuntu, and the install is not going smoothly.

If your distribution still supports Evince 3.4 you are free to file a bug report against your distribution's bugtracker.

What does "direct" mean? In case you can try, does the file print with another free PDF viewer, like xpdf or okular?

"Direct" means _not_ using cups - lpd to the IP.

The file does print with another viewer - I mentioned that in the 1st post.
