Depiction of the "attachment" dialog in Evolution 3.12.1

Not sure if this is an Evolution issue or "files" issue.

I use Evolution as my main e-mail (for many years now) - but use KDE as
my main desktop. Running Mageia latest Cauldron.

Since recently - I have noticed something strange - in "Files" I configure it wot show the folders at the top - no matter how the columns are sorted (size, date, etc.)

But when I "add an attachment" to an outgoing mail under Evolution, I
get the file browse dialog ("files")- but the folders are sorted by name mixed in
with the normal files (see attachment). Previously, this dialog was
like in Dolphin - always having the folders at the top - then the files.

Why has this changed? Just want to know if this can be changed back
somehow.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

Indeed, "Files" version 3.12.0 doesn't sync this setting with the file selection dialog. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in an upcoming "Files" version 3.12.1.

In the meanwhile, you can change the setting with dconf-editor or in the terminal with this command:

gsettings set org.gtk.Settings.FileChooser sort-directories-first true
