GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 729767
CSD styled windows don't react on compositing changes
Last modified: 2018-05-02 16:05:12 UTC
Created attachment 276119 [details] Black shadows after disabling compositing When compositing gets disabled CSD styled windows do not remove their shadow. In the opposite direction they do not gain shadows. Steps to reproduce: 1. Run KWin 2. Ensure Compositing is enabled 3. Start gtk3-demo (3.12.1) and ensure it has shadows 4. Disable compositing in KWin (Alt+Shift+F12) Actual Result: Shadows turn black (see attached screenshot) Expected Result: Shadows are removed
yeah, unfortunately this is a little hard to fix currently; a lot of the csd setup is happening in realize, so the most straightforward way to do this is to unrealize and re-realize
Is this still "little hard to fix"?
